My Fragrance Collection

I've done a couple of blog posts about my favourite fragrances, but never one with my entire collection. Fragrance is a very personal thing, much more I feel than makeup or fashion. I am really drawn to quite heavy, mostly floral based fragrances - especially rose. In my current collection, I've got a mixture of old favourites, new favourites and at various prices. Most of these I have received as gifts from birthdays, Christmas or thank-you gifts. However I would definitely (and have) repurchased a lot of these with my own money.

I've not included any body mists/sprays, but instead just eau de parfums. I have tried to include all the prices for the different sizes available, however two are not available anymore and I can't remember what the prices where. However I've included all the notes in case you want to find something similar.

Top Note: Tuberose
Heart Note: musk
Base Note: Akigalawood

Out of all the roses in my collection, this is the lightest. So if you like florals but do not want something more heavy, this might be a nice one to take a sniff. Tuberose is one of my other favourite notes in a fragrance, despite it not actually being related to rose at all. For 50ml, it is £75. Also available in 30ml (£54) and 100ml (£106).

Top Notes: Blackcurrant Nectar
Heart Notes: Freesia, Rose of Mai
Base Notes: Blonde Wood

I've had this since February, and I'll already half way through. To be fair, I've been switching which ones I'm wearing every day a lot more so I think this will last for a lot longer now. This is also one of my favourite bottle designs as well. There is something classic and sophiscated about it. Almost reminds me of something that you would see on your mother's or grandmother's dressing table. For 30ml, it is £54. Also available in 50ml (£74) and 100ml (£100).

Joan Collins Timeless Beauty I AM WOMAN

Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Orange, Mandarin, Peach Nectar
Heart Notes: Rose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Herbs, Green Notes and Moss
Base Notes: Musk, Vanilla, Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar and Patchouli

Out of all of these, it is probably my least worn. Not to say that it is bad. It is definitely the heaviest out of all of these, probably because it has the most notes, with a lot of them being heavy on their own, let alone together. There is something comforting about this smell, I think it reminds me of my nana and her old fashioned fluffy powder puff. For 12ml, it is £15. Also available in 50ml.

Rosie by Autograph Nuit Eau de Parfum

Top Notes: Bergamot, Pink Peony, Blackcurrant
Heart Notes: Centifolia Rose, Jasmine, Freesia, Lily Of The Valley
Base Notes: Violet, Blonde Woods, Musk

I am so gutted that this is not being sold anymore. It is such a gorgeous smell. Whilst it was advertised as the evening fragrance, I happily wear it during the day. It reminds me of a Clinique perfume that my mum used to own (not sure if it is around), so it is no surprise that I was drawn to it. I really hope that this comes back one day. If anyone from M&S is reading this - please bring it back!

Top Notes: Peony
Heart: Rose Petals, Magnolia
Base: Cedar, Ambergris

The fragrance that started it all. Chloe was my first proper fragrance and I've had a bottle in my collection ever since. Now I know it looks like there is not any in the bottle, but there is a smidge left! I also have another bottle with a bit left too, I tried to put them in the same bottle but it was going to be too tricky. I think a full size will be back in my life soon! On the Chloe website, the 50ml which I have is out of stock so I can't see the price, but is available in 30ml (£49), and 75ml (£85).

Top Notes: Clove
Heart Notes: Damask Rose
Base Notes: Oud

It is not suprising that my first fragrance from Jo Malone ending up being from the Cologne Intense range. Of course its got some rose, but it also has oud which is another note that I enjoy as well. This is my second bottle, the first time I had the smaller size and it lasted well over a year with me using it all the time, so with this being the larger size, I think I will have it for even longer! So whilst they are on the much pricier end, you do get your money's worth.

Jo Malone Fragnipani Flower Cologne

Top Notes: Solar notes, Lemon
Heart Notes: Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Benzoin

This is my new baby. I say new, I got it for my birthday two months ago. This was part of the Blossoms collection. I smelt this first back in December in the Cosmopolitan beauty cupboard whilst I was interning there. I was literally counting down the days till it was available. It was the first thing I asked for, for my birthday. It is sad that this was limited edition and no longer available but it would be great it this was put into their permanent range. But biggest shock of all - there is no rose! However there is some jasmine which is in a few of the others too.

What’s your favourite fragrance?

  3. We are so similar! Chloe and Si are two staples that I have to have in my collection as well. I've become a huge fan of the Replica scents lately. You should check out Chloe Nomad, it is so good!
