My Current Everyday Make-Up Staples

If you have been following me on Instagram recently you might have noticed that I have been posting what make-up I'm wearing every Monday, #MakeupMonday - I know, I am so original. However, in the last few weeks I have noticed that there are a few products that have crept into every single post. Now I always try to mix it up, not only so it is not the same boring look but it is also a great way to use up your make-up and maybe find some old favourites - I recently used the Barry M Dazzle Dust in Bronze for the first time in years and I forgot how good it is! In this post, I am going to be talking about the products that rarely get switched up because they are just really good products and I like using them every time I wear makeup.

My Current Everyday Make-Up Staples - Life Of A Beauty Nerd

I have been testing out this for a while now and I do quite like it. As I said in my travel makeup bag post, it can be a little fiddly to use at first as it has a droplet applicator but once you work out how much you need, it's fine.

I do find that this works better at helping liquid or cream-based products last longer like concealer or foundation in comparison to powder products but I find that with a lot of primers. Due to its texture, I think this is a primer that would work really well on all skin-tones, it has matte finish but is not drying and gives the skin a really soft feel.

It is also only £14 so it's a pretty decent price for a decent primer.

I've said this many times but this is still the best black pencil eyeliner that I have ever tried - and it is from the drugstore! It is really easy to apply, is incredibly pigmented and despite being a retractable eyeliner, it has never broken inside and the kohl fall out.

Now that spring is here (although it has not told the weather yet) and then going into summer, I would love to try out more the colours, and I hope they stand up to the same standard as this one.

When I first tried this, I did not think I would end up using it as much as I do. I do not use this for foundation as it too much coverage, but I think it works great as a concealer. This year, I have wearing more eyeshadow under the eyes and I find this helps keep it in place.

I started blending it out with a beauty sponge, I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge which works great for under the eye blending, but recently I have been using a brush. The brush I have been using, I am not sure where it is from but I found a similar one here.

Despite having a great shade range, it is £30 which is not in everyone's budget but I am interested in trying Makeup Revolution's new stick foundations as that seems like it could be a great drugstore alternative.

I still cannot go without my cat-eyeliner, I don't even know how I would do my make-up without it! Out of all eyeliner formulas, liquid is probably my least favourite as it can be difficult to use but this is an exception.

Not only is it super easy to apply, it really does stay - to the point that it can even be a bit of a pain to remove in the evening. However, that is a small price to pay considering how much wear you will get out of it.

So these are my current make-up staples, I might not always include these in the Monday posts as I feel like it is getting a little repetitive but even if they are not featured, they have probably have been used!

As always if you have tried any of these products, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

    1. I do love it but I think it works a bit better with thinner formulas, and I am a bit lazy with cleaning it!

    1. I think finding the perfect primer is probably the most difficult part when it comes to choosing make-up. If you do try the NYX primer, I hope it works out well!

    1. They are most known for Wunder Brow but they do have some great other make-up products too! I have used Soap & Glory's felt tip eyeliners in the past and they are a great drugstore dupe!
