Lush Haul: Easter 2018

Easter is slowly approaching, but it is already arrived at Lush! Yesterday I popped into my local store with my sister and explored all the new bath products - despite the freezing cold weather that has returned to British shores! There are some new additions to the Easter range alongside some that were around last year as well. I decided to choose products that were new so it was not a complete repeat of last year's haul!

Lush Haul: Easter 2018 - Life Of A Beauty Nerd
Free Rangers Bath Bomb

Top or bottom? A bit of both? Who gives a cluck!? Whichever part you go for, bergamot oil and blackcurrant absolute ensure you're in for some fruity fun. Whether you're heading out on a chicken run or just want to peck up some treats, stock up on these Fresh Handlaid Cosmetics. There's nothing fowl about cypress oil - it'll keep you in beak performance to prolong the enjoyment. With free to peck from a wide ranger colours, you'll have plenty of opportunities to put your feet up for some well deserved roost and re-coop-eration!
This is very similar to the Chick 'n' Mix bath bomb that Lush brought out in last year's collection. This design only comes with the two pieces that go together whereas Chick 'n' Mix came with a 'egg' in the middle. There are three different colour choices for the Free Rangers bath bomb - blue, orange and purple; I chose the purple although it is definitely more pink!

April Showers Bath Bomb
For your own little April showers (or rather baths), drop this fizzer into hot water and clear your cloudy skies with cedarwood and cypress oils. As the softening Fair Trade cocoa butter raindrops melt away, tonka absolute comes out to play with fresh violet leaf absolute.
I love how cute this bath bomb is! This bath bomb appears to be mostly white so this might be an interesting one to try with a second bath bomb, but I will try this on its own first. As this has cocoa butter in it, this sound like a great option for a pamper evening bath or when I am shaving my legs.

Mum, Look What I Made You Bath Bomb
Ditch the macaroni and glitter and treat your mama to something as special as she is. Send her off on her own tropical holiday with softening coconut milk powder. Coconut blossom lifts moods and a tempting mix of cocoa absolute, almond essential oil and chocolate extract will ensure she still gets some chocolatey treats. We've handmade it for you!
Now this is actually part of the Mother's Day collection but in our store, it was sat in the Easter display, and it does have a bit of an spring-like feel so I think it is still acceptable to be part of the Easter haul! Although as much as I love you Mum, I think I'll be keeping this for me now Mother's Day has passed - but I did treat her to a Birchbox and I did cook her dinner so I promise I am not being mean!

Cream Egg Bubbleroon
If you're looking for a cracking good bath, a Cream Egg is the way to go. As you crumble this mint-chocolate scented bubbleroon under running water, Fair Trade organic cocoa and Fair Trade shea butters melt, turning the water into an irresistibly softening, sweet lagoon. Spearmint tones the skin and refreshes your mood as you soak, making you feel eggsellent. If you're feeling blue, scramble this speckled egg for bright neon water.
Part of me chose this because I liked the design, the other half of me chose this because I adore Creme Eggs, why did I choose to give up chocolate for Lent!! This also comes in three different designs to chose from. This design stuck out to be the most but as these are smaller, I might try the others before the collection leaves the stores.

Poisson D'Avril Bubble Bar
It's no joke that this little fishy will help to banish the winter blues. Warming cinnamon leaf and spicy black pepper oils sweep away any lingering chills. If you have a chip on your shoulder or a fish on your back, crumble this bubble bar fool of neroli oil into running water to feel bright and uplifted. Woody oakmoss absolute gently cleanses skin and grounds scattered minds amongst bright orange bubbles. Le poisson, le poisson how you'll love le poisson!
The first thing my sister asked me when we saw this was "What has this got to do with Easter?", and I have no idea! It does look pretty hilarious! I like it when bubble bars are this, a flatter shape as I find it is easier to break off smaller bits to use.

Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt
Every good egg deserves, well, a golden egg of course. Shimmeringly sensual, this Brazilian orange and honey-scented jewel is the only sweet fix you should set your heart on. Indulge in a super-softening, skin-loving soak that’s rich with luxurious moisturising fair trade organic cocoa butter, uplifting bergamot and almond oils and glittering golden lustre.
This is what my sister chose from the Easter collection. When I asked her why she chose this, she said "because it is sparkly" - always helpful when writing a post. Now as you can see, this is ridiculously glittery, you might want to be careful when handing this as you could be spreading glitter all over the place!

I love everything that my sister and I picked up from the Lush Easter collection, what would you choose from the collection?

    1. Me too! I gave up chocolate this year for Lent as whilst I am proud for keeping it up, man I miss eating loads of Creme Eggs - maybe I'll still buy them and stock up for post-Easter! Also I would love to try the White Creme egg!

    1. They do don't they! I just have to remember to rinse out the bath afterwards - don't want a bright stain around the bath!

  5. Love your choices , the colors are so springy. I actually have never tried lush bath bombs probably because I'm not really a bath person but I would choose the egg or fish.
