Some Of My Goals For 2020

A few days in 2020, my family and I were discussing our resolutions for the year. I realised that I hadn't thought of any. Whilst I prefer goals, I actually struggled to think of what I wanted to achieve. There are always a few that we all like to achieve, fitness, reading but this year I really struggled. What I have decided to do this year is not set out all my goals for the year at once. Let the months go by and see what happens. Adapt or change if necessary. I feel like that takes the pressure off. Here are my goals so far!

Upgrade My Blog

Don't get me wrong, I have loved using Blogger, and I really like my current blogging set-up, but I feel like it is not as cool and professional as it could be. By the end of the year I would like to be set up on Wordpress, with a new blog design. I think it will be fun but also challenging. You can do a lot more with Wordpress, and I think that will allow me to experiment with new things. I'd also like to be set up with some Adobe software.

Another idea I thought about was a newsletter. I read a few blogger's newsletters and it is a great way to catch up. If you have any ideas of what you like seeing in a newsletter please let me know. I want it to be something for everyone.

Travel Around

Last year I only went away for a few days down to Cornwall with my family. As I am still waiting to get a full-time job, it isn't really feasible to just go on holiday. However I really missed being on a holiday, and just having a proper break. So I've decided that I would like to visit more places this year, and give my brain some breathing space.

Now whilst I am not sure what my situation will be every month, I want to start with visiting other cities in the UK for a weekend. I have a few friends dotted around the UK and would love to visit them to their respective cities.

Finish My Bedroom Ideas

I've had many ideas about re-decorating parts of my bedroom. Whilst I have started planning - aka, Pinterest, I haven't actually executed anything really at all. As it is the start of a new decade, I feel like it is the time to finally act on these changes. I also watch a lot of The Sorry Girls and Hermione Chantal - time to stop watching and start executing.

At the moment I have plans for a gallery wall. I have a few prints already, but I definitely need more. The main issue I've been having is not being sure how to design it. Do I map out the places first, or just buy prints and then work it out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you set any goals for 2020?

Ellyn xx

  1. Before I started the blog I currently have, I had a lil' blog on blogger because I just found it much easier to start out! About 3 months later, I made the switch to try out the free version of blogger, and I'm so happy that I made the switch. I've been blogging for 3 years now with my current blog, and I love the customization and how professional it is! There is definitely a learning curve, but I totally recommend it! I hope you achieve all three of your major goals :) xx

  2. I think goals are so much better than resolutions.

I’ve been using Wordpress.com for a year but just gone self hosted with lyrical host, they’ve been brilliant so far.

Good luck with achieving your goals x

  3. I love Wordpress & I hope you'll like it too!
Last year I visited my parents in the US, but other than that I didn't travel either. I would love to go to Norway this year.
Good luck with redecorating your room!
