January Birchbox - Birchbox X Rochelle Humes

This year marks three years that I've been getting a Birchbox. I love getting it every month, and trying out a huge variety of products. I'm looking forward to trying more new things this year. The first box of the year is in collaboration with Rochelle Humes. I was big fan of S Club 7 when I was growing up, and Rochelle was part of the S Club Juniors! She has since been in The Saturdays, and now does a lot of presenting. She does a clothing edit with New Look. Let's see what was inside the box!

January Birchbox featuring a variety of makeup and skincare

Want maximum glow with minimal effort? Look no further than these silky liquid highlighters. Enriched with coconut and argan oils, the hydrating formula leaves behind a dreamy dewy, skin-plumping glow, whichever shade you choose.

When I first opened the box, this really made me laugh. A highlighter called Glow Milk, and the outer packaging shaped like a milk carton! Out of the three shade options, I selected the shade Pear Pressure. At a swatch, it seems a little goes a long way and does look very glowy! Looking forward to trying this out.

For those that like to keep things simple, you'll be pleased to know that perfectly applied eyeshadow or diffused liner doesn't always call for a multitude of tools! Whether you want a sheer wash of colour or a dramatic smokey eye, this easy-to-use, long-wearing metallic bronze chubby stick has you covered.

This year, I really want to experiment more with eyeshadow, if you see my weekly #MakeupMonday posts on Instagram, I often rotate between the same eyeshadow palettes. I really like the colour of this eyeshadow crayon. I've been more successful with cream/liquid eyeshadows nowadays thanks to my NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base so I'm looking forward to going this a go.

Nourish dry, winter skin with this hydrating body lotion that blends sweet-smelling argan oil and moisture-boosting glycerin. Made from 85% natural ingredients, the gentle formula intensively softens and hydrates for 48 hours, never leaves a sticky residue and comes in a fully recyclable bottle.

Keeping your body moisturised all year round is very important. Alongside hyaluronic acid, glycerin is an essential ingredient to keep your skin hydrated. So it is great to have a body moisturiser with glycerin in it. This bottle is also completely recycleable and is cruelty-free and vegan - always a bonus in today's environmental situation.

We're all about refreshing, recharging and taking well-deserved me-time, so we can't get enough of these soothing under eye gels. Made with hexapeptide technology (read: skin-restoring and nourishing ingredients), the hardworking patches de-puff, brighten and counteract crepey skin in a flash.

I will be honest and say that I've got a few of these eye gel packs and have not used any of them. I really should. I have been doing a lot of receptionist temp work, as well as using my laptop for blogging, and applying for jobs whilst at home, so I should give my eyes a treat with these. This is a very good brand, and for £25, I'm expecting good things.

This jade roller is a quick-fix for daily skincare struggles (read: boosting radiance and tightening pores), as well as a longer term investment for improving elasticity and fine lines. Simply roll your tool across your forehead and under your cheekbones and jaw to ease stress at the end of a long day or reduce puffiness in the morning.

If you like to pamper yourself, you need to get a roller. Whilst I'm not actually sure if it does all the smoothing and de-puffing, rolling this when its cold against my skin just feels lovely. I've heard a lot of people use this with their skincare products, so I'm interested to see if that makes any difference. However, as it feels really nice on the skin, I can see myself using it either way!

As Rochelle works with New Look, we were also given a discount code for 25%. If you get Birchbox for the first time, you also get a gift so if you want to give it a try, I would definitely get this month's box.

Have you tried any of these products?

Ellyn xx
