Concealer - My Picks

As a non-foundation wearer, I live on concealer. Whilst I might wear foundation for a fancy occasion, on the day-to-day basis, I don't need it. Now I will be upfront and honest and say that I only really use concealer for under my eyes. However, I do like the concealer I use under my eyes to be full-coverage so you should be able to use these to cover blemishes or any other issues. All of these concealers are available from the high-street, and all but one have a decent shade range.

L'Oreal More Than Concealer, Natural Collection concealer, Collection Lasting Perfection concealer

Our best-selling concealer. Dot, dab, conceal or contour your way to a flawless finish. This blogger favourite is smudge-proof, budge-proof and transfer-proof. For coverage that lasts for up to 16-hours.

A true icon of the British high street. Whilst I enjoy using other concealers, like the other ones I'm mentioning, if I had to pick one of the three, it would probably be this one. This concealer is definitely one that I would always consider purchasing, and like to have in my collection. I have had issues with some high-street concealers drying orange under my eyes and one of the very few that do not is the Collection concealer.

I like to use the lightest shade, as it brightens up my under eyes nicely. I don’t find it is too thick for that. However as it is quite pale, I would not use it anywhere else on the face. Collection has expanded the shade range, so I'm hoping that more people should be able to enjoy it!

Whatever your concern; blemishes, dark circles, uneven skin tone, we’ve got you covered with our NEW More Than Concealer. With 25 shades in the range you can find the perfect one to brighten, correct, contour & highlight, that’s why it’s our More Than Concealer. An innovation from our labs, the high pigment elastic formula gives you the ultimate full coverage finish with a totally lightweight feel. Enjoy ultra long-wear with an undetectable finish that doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines.

Now this really is a full-coverage concealer. It is no wonder that L’Oreal say it can be used for contour and highlight as well. Also with 25 shades, this is the direction that more high street brands need to be heading. Not everyone can afford the high price tags of high end brands who are more likely to have a better shade range.

Because of the coverage, I probably use this the least often, as I find even the lightest dab can provide you with too much product. I think this could easily work in a drag queen’s makeup bag. Girl, you’re gonna get your coverage.

Our colour correction concealer is an easy to blend formula allowing you to  build your way to non-caking coverage. It's smooth texture and yellow pigmentation  helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles and evens skintone to create a brighter base for foundation.

At the moment, this is my most used concealer. Stick concealers are super quick to use, and often blend out the easiest. They will also tend to be only one type of coverage, on the fuller side so they might not be for everyone.

The only gripe that I have with this is the lack of shades. Whilst it provides colour-correcting shades, the actual skin-coloured shades is very poor. I'm hoping that Natural Collection will bring out more shades because it is a really nice concealer.

What's your favourite concealer?

  1. I love the Collection one for under eye circles! Plus at the price you can't complain! I'm currently using a Revolution one and it's really good, it covers the dark circles and it gives enough coverage to use on other areas too! Xx
