#GRWM - A Summer's Peach

After having a street party celebrating the Queen's Diamond Juliblee in 2012, there has been a street party every year on my road. It is a lovely way to catch up with your neighbours, especially in London where it very much closed doors! Today was the day, and it was very sunny and hot for a lot the day so I wanted to go with a very easy chic summer style, and makeup to match. On another note, can you believe that this is my first blog post for June! We are entering halfway through 2019 already! How insanse is that. Now, back to business.

Face

I had included an SPF in my skincare routine as it was going to be hot all day today so I didn’t use a primer. I mixed my Joan Collins Timeless Beauty First Base foundation with the Indeed Labs Radiance Booster (see my last post for more information). For concealer, I used the Collection Lasting Perfection. My L’Oreal Infallible More Than Concealer is getting a little too light for me at the moment, so I might move up a shade so I’m using my Collection a lot more at the moment.

For blush, I pulled out something I haven’t used in ages, the Lord & Berry Blusher Crayon in Peach. It is really easy to blend out, especially for a pencil. To add some highlight, I used the Winky Lux Strobing Balm in Radiant Pink. I added a small bit of my MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to the centre of my face.

Eyes

After applying my NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, I pulled out my Urban Decay Naked Heat. I wanted to go with warm-toned eyeshadows but I’ve been using my Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Spice Palette a lot recently and I wanted to use something different so I got out the Naked Heat.

I started with the shade Sauced with my Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Brush into my crease. Then using the Spectrum Collections C06 brush, I first took the shade Low Blow all over the lid, and slightly up into the crease. I then blended a little of the shade Cayenne on top. I went back in with the Luxie brush just to blend out any edges.

I used my new Benefit Roller Liner in Black for my cat flick, and then used the Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil in my upper waterline. For mascara, I have been trying out the Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing Mascara which I also got with the Lord & Berry eyeliner in my May Birchbox. I then blended some of Low Blow and Cayenne under my lower lashline.

Lips

As I was going with warm tones, I didn’t want to go with a red lip, even though I wanted to wear a red dress. So I decided to use a peachy-lip combination that I shared on Instagram recently. It features my NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in Peach Don’t Kill My Vibe and Soft Matte Lip Cream in Dallas.

Outfit

For my outfit, I wore my favourite red spotty midi dress (similar here) from H&M, with my Primark heeled sandals (similar here). For jewelry, I wore my gold turtle necklace (similar here) which my family brought back for me from their holiday in Australia, I don’t know where it is from.

Did you enjoy the sunshine this weekend?
