Four Non-Drying Liquid Lipsticks

I have written many a blog post about lipsticks on this blog. I don’t even want to think about how many lipsticks I have in my collection. It’s way too many. Not that would stop me buying more. In the last few years, I have really gotten into liquid lipsticks. However, many people might be put off by liquid lipsticks as they are predominantly matte and can have dry finishes. In this post, I wanted to talk about four matte liquid lipsticks, that are not drying! I promise you! A mixture of high street and high end, I think there might be the one for you in this post!

I bought my first Melted Matte lipstick back in December, and I now own three! This was the first product that I have tried from Too Faced, as it is not sold in my town but I am interested in trying more of the brand. I will be honest and say that out of all the lipsticks in this post, this is the least long-lasting, especially  if you are eating oily foods. However it is really comfortable, and easy to reapply so I don’t find it too much of a bother.

At the moment, my go-to shade is Child Star. I have wanted this shade for years. I saw Jessie from Sunbeamsjess use it in a video and I instantly wanted it. However it was so hard to get hold of it so I gave up. At the start of the year, I was watching the old video again and managed to find it in stock on Selfridge's website! It is slightly paler than what I would normally go for, but thankfully it just about stays clear of concealer lips!

How Many Shades – 16

Would I Repurchase – Yes

This is the newest addition to my lipstick wardrobe, but I am absolutely loving it already. One thing I love about the campaign for this, is that each shade is shown on different skin-tones – the idea that every one can work with everyone! I also like how sleek the packaging is. I am definitely going to be trying out more shades!

It has a very similar brush to the Maybelline, but the formula is considerably thinner. I would say it has the thinnest consistency. It has an oil-in-water formula, which makes it the most comfortable of out these, but don’t worry – it’s not going to be slipping all over your face!

This has a slightly different formulation to the rest, it is a little mousse-y in comparison. This was the first lip product from Charlotte Tilbury that I have tried and so far I am enjoying it. It is the most expensive of the four, and I think it is also the smallest. I also love the packaging.

You can also look on the website at how these look on different skin-tones, very similar to L’Oreal. Although I think the Charlotte Tilbury came out first.

How Many Shades – 13

Would I Repurchase – Maybe

I’ve had this shade (Seductress) and the shade Pioneer in my collection for a while now and I still use them regularly. Pioneer is still without a doubt one of the most long-lasting liquid lipsticks in my entire collection. Out of all of these lipsticks, I would say that this has the thickest consistency, which might be way it has such great lasting power.

As it has the thickest consistency, it is the most tacky feeling but I find that is more comfortable for people compared to drier matte formulations.

Have you tried any of these liquid lipsticks?
