March Birchbox - You Go Girl

Friday was International Women's Day so it is no surprise that the March Birchbox is in full celebration of girl power! The idea of the product selection is about multi-tasking, something women have been known to be amazing at! What I love about this month's box as well is the colour coordination of the product packaging - I wonder if that was intentional! Let's celebrate the achievements that women have made around the world, and continue to ask for the changes that still need to happen!

Cheat a sun-kissed glow with this bronzer from The Beauty Crop. Loaded with antioxidant-rich green tea (to energise and refresh the skin), this long-wearing formula lasts all day.

I have liked what I have tried from The Beauty Crop in previous boxes. Bronzer is a staple part of my everyday makeup routine, and I am always up for trying new products. However I am a big fan of my Hoola bronzer, and the bronzer in my Smashbox Cali Contour Kit so this has a lot to live up too!

Stop frizz, tame flyaways, and camouflage split ends in one quick step with this touch-up cream. It seals in moisture to transform your ‘do from frazzled to silky and shiny. Psst, pop it in your bag for touch-ups on the go, too!

John Frieda is an iconic brand on the high street for haircare, and Frizz Ease being one of the top hair ranges for frizzy hair. I used the serum for years. So this apparently will continue to help reduce frizz, but will also add moisture, something my hair always needs!

Meet the next big thing in masking. Packed with Australian superfruit Davidson plum – plus clay (obviously!), desert lime and aloe vera - it brightens, boosts hydration, reduces oil and minimises the appearance of pores. (Phew!)

This was the product that we got to choose between. I went with the brightening mask, the other option was detoxifying. Its got great ingredients, the things I want from skincare and is purple - my favourite colour! Can't wait to give myself a pamper!

We’re happy to extend our shower ritual a little if it means we have healthier, glowing skin to show for it. Enter this vegan scrub by BOD, infused with gentle-yet-effective ingredients to slough away dead skin.

With spring arriving, and the potential of warmer weather I will be in need of a good body scrub! However it does have glitter in it, and until I use it I don't know how glittery so it might be only used when I'm getting ready to go out. It is also vegan!

The geniuses behind Caudalie are all about using the power of the grape to rejuvenate your skin. They go one step further with this featherweight, oil-free serum formulated for dry skin and ideal for those moisture-depleting sun, ski or wind moments. Within seconds of applying, it restores the skin’s hydration balance, prepping your face for moisturiser, makeup, and the skin-sapping challenges of the day ahead.

I've recently been using the moisturising sorbet from Caudalie's Vinosource range, and I really like it so I am excited to try more from the range. Again, its got some hydration boosting ingredients which I always want for my skin!

Add a spritz of magic to an ordinary day with Charlotte Tilbury’s unique fragrance. A joyfully invigorating blend of lemon, peach and black pepper have been chosen to lift your spirits while a heart of hypnotic florals – jasmine, tuberose, violet, and patchouli – guarantee love at first spritz. Finally, a hint of precious woods and amber at the base lend this perfume a sultry finish that’s effortlessly beautiful.

In the last few months, I feel like I've gained more fragrances that I have in all the time I've owned my current selection. Charlotte Tilbury is one of the brands that I really like, so I am really intrigued to try her fragrance. It contains tuberose which I really like, so I am hopeful that one day the full size might appear in my collection!

I am hopeful that 2019 will bring some great things for women, in all areas of life, all across the world! But in the meantime, why not treat ourselves to a good old pamper, I think we all deserve it!

What do you hope will happen for women this year?

Ellyn xx
