New Beauty Purchases - November

So I’ve been a bit spendy in the makeup department last month. However, I love makeup so I don’t mind. My bank account might have a different opinion. I did manage to keep it under five products, so maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds. I really want to be sharing more of a variety of makeup on this blog, so this might become a monthly, or bi-monthly feature depending on what catches my attention. This month I am interning at Cosmopolitan UK in the beauty team, so my list will probably grow over the next few weeks. So let’s find out what makeup I purchased in November.

November Beauty Makeup Haul

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

NARS has opened a counter in my local department store! Good news for me, bad news for my wallet! And it was completely unexpected too. The department store was holding an annual event day, which included discounts across the store. If I hadn’t needed any more persuasion to make a purchase!

What was also great was a few days earlier, I had been planning to purchase the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion, but now I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. So far I am really loving it, whilst I mostly wear matte eyeshadow looks, I have tried a shimmery look and it stayed amazingly well. Already worth the money and something I would seriously consider repurchasing.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Audrey

Not that I need anymore lip products, I also picked up the Audacious lipstick in Audrey, which is a gorgeous slightly-warm Burgundy shade. It is super pigmented and feels really nice on the lips as it has a more satin-like finish. Whilst I still prefer a matte finish, it’s nice to have a great looking lipstick, for when I feel like giving my lips a break from all the matte formulas!

However, I recently tried the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Do Me Baby, and I think I’m going to need that too. Ugh, I’m so sorry bank account!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

When I was putting together my high-street/drugstore version of my GRWM, I needed to purchase a new high-street concealer. However, I have had issues with some high-street concealers drying orange under my eyes and one of the very few that do not is the Collection concealer - a cult high street beauty product.

I like to use the lightest shade, as it brightens up my under eyes nicely. I don’t find it is too thick for that. However as it is quite pale, I would not use it anywhere else on the face.

Rimmel Magnif’eyes Eyeshadow Palette in Spice

I have the nude palette from Rimmel, and it is one of the best drugstore palettes that I have tried. I saw the Spice palette on Suzie from Hello October’s channel and whilst I was picking up the Collection concealer, I thought I would also pick up this palette as it has very similar colours to the Smashbox palette.

Since then, I have tried a few more shades within the palette and I really love it, I don’t know if it is just the colour difference between warm and cool colours, but this palette is really pigmented and is just really nice to use.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Maybe it has inspired you to add some new things to your beauty wish list. Or, if you have tried some of these already, let me know your thoughts on them.

I would recommend all these products so whether you need to save up for NARS, I think you should try these out. I definitely think it would be worth it.

What’s on your current beauty wish list?

Ellyn xx
