Smoothie Time: Tropical Sunshine Smoothie Bowl

One of the most popular smoothie recipes I have done on this blog, was the Tropical Sunshine smoothie. I know tropical flavours are quite popular with many people and as I am still in a smoothie bowl phase, I thought I would convert that original smoothie into a delicious smoothie bowl. As it has been so hot recently, and it looks like its continuing, a smoothie bowl is perfect for breakfast, as it is packed with frozen fruit too keep you cool! Keep reading to find out how to make it!

Ingredients
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of frozen tropical fruits (The one I use included Mango, Pineapple & Papaya)
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon(ish) golden syrup
  • 2-3 tablespoons of plant-based vanilla yoghurt
Method
  1. Measure out and put all your frozen fruit into your blender, I use a Magimix
  2. Add in the yoghurt, then add the golden syrup
  3. Pour in the coconut milk or whatever plant-based milk you prefer
  4. Blend! (It will take about a minute or two to blend)
  5. Pour into a bowl and top with whatever you like! I topped mine with banana, chia seeds, and some chopped up nectarine!
Now I found that the texture was a little different in comparison to my other recipes, but I think that was mainly due to the texture of pineapple. However it still managed to keep up the fruit toppings and it tasted yummy, so who cares!

What's your fave summer breakfast?
