New Make-Up Additions

As I mentioned in my current make-up staples post, I have posting what make-up I am wearing every Monday on my Instagram. Since starting that, I have been mixing up some of the make-up that I am using which has been really fun, although I am still doing the same style of look - just with different shades and textures of eyeshadow.  In today's post, I thought I would talk about some of the new additions that I have been using in the last few weeks. Some of them I have had for a while now but it has only been recently that I have started to use these on a regular basis.

New Make-Up Additions - Life Of A Beauty Nerd
EYES

This is the newest addition to my make-up collection. I have not tried much from Revolution but I know it is quite a popular drugstore brand. I have also recently been watching some tutorials of Sophie from SophDoesNails on YouTube. I knew she had collaborated with Revolution on an eyeshadow and highlighter palette and I thought I would give it a go.

So far, I am enjoying the palette. It has a great range of shimmer and matte eyeshadows and I am looking forward to creating lots of different looks out of it. I did not buy the highlighter palette but I might try it in the future. At the moment, my favourite shadows from the palette are Pine Tree, Copper Coin and Festival Flame.

This eyeshadow came in my February Birchbox which was inspired by the 1990s. It has three gorgeous gold and brown tones, two being shimmer finishes and one matte. It is also a great option to take travelling as it is so small, but you could actually get a few different looks out of this trio.

My favourites are the two shimmer eyeshadows, they look gorgeous alone, but also blend so nicely together on the lid. The matte eyeshadow is also good but I have many good matte brown eyeshadows in my collection.

I've mentioned before that this is one of my favourite mascaras, probably even my number one. I got this at the Birchbox Subscriber's Event where they were doing 20% off full-size purchases. I have very short eyelashes, so I will never have the amazing long lashes like others but this mascara does give me length but most importantly, it does not clump which makes a difference.

BASE

This is also from a Birchbox, my most recent one in fact. I was quite nervous to try this as I have not always got on with cream blushes in the past. However, this has a slightly more solid texture than other cream blushes I have tried and I think this worked out for the best.

It gives a gorgeous pink-peach colour on the skin with a subtle shimmer running through. Now on my skin-tone, there is too much colour to use as a highlighter but it could look gorgeous as a highlighter on darker skin-tones, I think it would look amazing if it did!

LIPS

I've been harping on about how much I love the NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments and for months, I genuinely did not believe that I could find another liquid lipstick that would match up. Well, I'm now ready to eat my words. The Artist Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick has done it. I love it just as much.

Now I have only tried this in this shade and before I post up a full review, I will try another shade. I have got my eye on one of the reds!

So these are the new additions to my make-up, if you would like to see any further reviews or make-up look posts with any of these products, please let me know. Also, if you have tried any of these products, let me know in the comments too!
