April Birchbox: #BirchboxXBoden

As I have mentioned in other posts, I recently subscribed to Birchbox at the end of February, I am now three boxes in and I love it! For only £10 a box (which you can buy individually as well as subscriptions), you get 5 deluxe samples and often one of which is actually full size. There have been so many brands that I had not heard of before in the boxes thus far so it is a great way of seeing what is out there. This month, Birchbox collaborated with Boden and came out with this gorgeous floral box which I love. They also did a card holder if you paid a bit extra but I already have a great card holder from Paperchase so I just stuck with the normal box. In today's post, I thought I would talk about what I received this month and give any initial thoughts. I have also included the description from the product description leaflet.

April Birchbox Boden

Manna Kadar Cosmetics High Definition Powder
"For days when you're less about the dewy look and more about keeping your make-up on lockdown, this velvet-finish, HD powder creates a beautifully matte finish"
I have used this powder a couple of times now and I am really enjoying it so far. In conjunction with my new Hourglass primer, it really helps my makeup last and keeping the matte finish. The only gripe that I have is that it costs £27, but at the moment I probably would repurchase it.

Nip + Fab Colour Correcting Concealer
"Who knew that concealers didn't have to be flesh coloured?! This new make-up pre-step uses colour to enhance your complexion and balance imperfections. Just layer your base products on top!"
In my box, I received the purple colour corrector but they also had the green, orange and yellow correctors available. Now it says that the purple can be used to counter-act yellow tones in the skin. I don't really notice any yellow or sallow-ness in my skin so I might pass this onto someone who might benefit from this more! This was also full-size and only costs £8.95 so if you are in the market for a colour corrector, this might be one to check out!

Polaar IcePure Gentle Scrub with Arctic Cotton
"Never heard of Arctic cotton? It's a powerhouse ingredient known for its moisturising properties meaning that this double-action exfoliator both smooths and softens the skin"
I have tried this once so far and it was not amazing but it was not awful either. It smells like men's aftershave which I quite like but it was not super scrubby. This did mean that it was not as harsh on the skin like some manual exfoliators so it is definitely gentle. Overall, it does seem that it might not be the best scrub out there for people with very dry flaky skin but for everyone else, it is not that bad.

Oribe Dry Texturisng Spray
"The month ahead looks bright-and-breezy- but especially when it comes to your hair! Part dry shampoo and part texturiser, this beauty-editor-favourite spray will add instant life to unwashed hair"
I was so excited when I opened my box and saw this in there! I have watched beauty YouTubers and bloggers rave about this hair product and I have never been brave enough to spend the money to try it but now I can! It smells amazing! I used a little today and I did notice some volume in my hair but I am looking forward to using it when I wear my trademark curls whenever I next go out!

Baïja Paris Crème Moana in Fleur de Tiarè
"When your skin needs a little TLC, this super-nourishing lotion will save the day. A blend of shea and cupuaçu butters, coconut oil, jojoba wax offer immediate relief to dry patches for baby-soft skin"
I haven't tried this body lotion out yet as I don't tend to moisturise my body everyday because I would either be putting clothes on or going to bed after and I don't like how it feels. I will definitely be taking this whenever I next go abroad because it is a handy travel size. As it contains so many moisturising ingredients, I think this would be great to use in the evening after a day in the sun! I do really love the bright and colour summer-like packaging so I really hope I like this!

I really love this month's Birchbox and I do think I will repurchase some of these products in their full size. I would really recommend giving Birchbox a go as you get to try so many different products for only £10! You can also buy subscriptions for other people so if anyone you know could do with a little pick-me-up, this might be great!

    1. I've used it a few times now and I like it! I am trying to use it sparingly so it lasts longer! I think so too! My May box post is coming tomorrow!
