What's In My Daily Makeup Bag

Today I am going to share what is inside my daily makeup bag! I very occasionally experiment with my makeup with the exception of lipstick so I tend to stick with the same makeup look. I have also been doing this look for so long that I can get my whole face done in less then ten minutes (perfect for when I'm in a rush to get ready for university)

Face

I start out by applying the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and onto my eyelids to act as a primer. I blend these out with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and then use the brush again to apply my powder from The Body Shop to set the concealer, act as my eye-shadow base and to mattify the slight shine on my T-Zone. As I often go for quite heavy eyeliner, I like to keep the rest of my face makeup to be fairly natural. I use my Urban Decay powder brush (although I think it looks different now) and lightly sweep the Bourjois Delice de Poudre along my cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin. I then take the Clinique Blush in Bashful Blush with The Body Shop blusher brush and this adds a lovely warm glow to the skin that looks completely natural (other than the slight shimmer though.. but it isn't too much)

Eyes

For anyone who knows me, I like to think I am known for one particular makeup look - big, bold black cat-eye. I find it compliments my face with my glasses and it goes with any colour lipstick. To create my eyeliner, I tend to switch between using gel liner or good old-fashioned liquid. I am currently using Collection Fast Stroke Liquid Liner (the one in light blue packaging) but I might try the new Benefit They're Real liner when this runs out. For the rest of my eyes, I keep it natural as to not interfere with the bold liner.  I use the Body Shop face powder as a base and then gently run the matte brown shade in the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes palette in my crease to add some definition to my eye. I use a crease brush which I got as part of a Christmas present but I think it is from Estee Lauder. I tend to use two mascaras but my They're Real has dried up so at the minute I'm just using my Rimmel London Kate Mascara which also works nicely on its own. I have really short eyelashes so I can't ever get amazing volume and lift but I like the finish I get with this.

Brushes and Makeup Bag

I like all the brushes I use in my daily make-up routine as they are all good quality and they all fit in my Estee Lauder pink and blue make-up bag and the brush hairs do not get squashed or put out of shape. As I said, my makeup bag is from Estee Lauder and I believe my mum received it as part of a 'gift with purchase' but gave it to me. I like that it is bright and colourful, but it is also the perfect size to fit all this makeup and the lipstick that I decide to wear that day (out of my 22..)

So that's what is inside my daily makeup bag. If I have more time to get ready then I occasionally change up this look or when I'm going out in the evening.

What is in your makeup bag?
