Red Liquid Lipsticks - My Top Picks

Back in July, I wrote my desert island beauty picks for red lipstick. That featured both liquid and traditional lipstick formulas. As a liquid lipstick lover, I thought I would follow it up with a beauty picks post on red liquid lipsticks alone. Some of these did feature in that post, but I’ve also included two others. Whilst these are all red shades, I love these formulas and would happily own (and do) other shades.

Sign your lips in statement colour with new L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Liquid Lip Ink. Say goodbye to compromise- long-lasting no longer means thick, heavy and uncomfortable matte finish. The oil-in-water formula lets lips breathe, leaving a memorable mark but a forgettable feel for the ultimate all-day comfort. Every swipe will provide an instant pure colour statement that lasts with a soft-matte finish.

This is currently my favorite red liquid lipstick, and one that featured in my desert island post. Not only does the packaging look very sleek, gthr formula itself is really good. The formula is more liquid, but is not messy and dries down to a comfortable finish. The collection has a few different reds to choose from, I have the shade I Am Worth It which has a slight orange hue.

With the staying power of an intense stain and the vivid, vibrant colour of a liquid lipstick, Melted Matte achieves the impossible: it is both lightweight and long-wearing. Infused with ‘Volulip’ for a no-sting plumping effect, smoothing hyaluronic filling spheres and nourishing avocado oil, this protects lips as it veils them in kiss-resistant colour.

I have been enjoying using Melted Mattes, one made an appearance on Sunday's blog. I own three shades, Sell Out, Child Star and the red shade Lady Balls. Lady Balls was actually the first shade that I owned. So whilst at the moment it is my least used of the three, it clearly started my love for the formula. The formula is a little thicker than the L’Oreal but also dries down to a comfortable finish.

Ink with Attitude. Maybelline introduces SuperStay Matte Ink, an intense ink colour concentration, ultra-chic matte finish and flawless, 12 hour wear. With a precise arrow applicator for a smooth matte, second-skin effect in just one stroke. Statement, inked lips that last.

This also featured in my red lipstick desert island post. I’ve said this many times but if you need a liquid lipstick that could probably survive the zombie apocalypse, this is tgh one. I have the shades Seductress and this red shade Pioneer. One coat of Pioneer will last from early morning, till it’s time to go to bed. This has the thickest formula, and does dry a little tacky but is still comfortable.

Potency and precision-the new power couple. An innovative concentrate of our most powerful matte yet. Fluid Pigment Complex, liquefied pigment with a zero-gravity feel, introduces infinite matte color saturation with ultra-flexible longwear. Sensorial, lightweight texture that applies like an ink on lips. Dries down to lock in formula for a smudge-resistant, carefree wear. Matte. Empowered.

This lipstick really kicked off my love affair with liquid lipstick. Alongside American Woman, this shade Don’t Stop is one of my most used. I couldn't find my normal sized version of this product so I’ve included my travel sized, a great addition from NARS. This has more of a dry finish, but lasts pretty well. It also has the smallest and most studeriestg brush. Now I will admit that I don’t use this as much as I used to, but I would still happily go back and recommend it to others.

Have you tried any of these liquid lipsticks?
