Outfit Of The Evening: Summer Evening

I have been trying to find my perfect midi dress for months. It has felt like a mammoth task. From scouring Instagram to searching on ASOS everyday, it really felt like I was never going to find it. Thankfully I also have the H&M app and one day a miracle occurred – I found a dress! It is this gorgeous red wrap dress with white polka-dots. Now there was only a size 8 left in stock which is not my usual size in dresses (I usually go for size 10.) However as this is a wrap dress, you are more likely to be able to fit into a slightly smaller size. Red is a new colour to wardrobe, and quickly becoming a favourite; as shown by my love for my red jumper (which I cannot wait to start wearing again this autumn/winter.)

These photographs were whilst we were out in Mallorca on holiday visiting family. I had bought this just before we left but decided to save wearing it until we were in Mallorca as I knew it would be perfect for a warm summer’s evening. So I roped in my cousin who took a great series of shots on my camera, and their Canon. It was fun to see the different styles of shots. 

I paired this outfit with my new favourite low-block heeled sandals from Primark. They were an absolute bargain and are super comfortable. They are also in Wide Fit, which means they fit absolutely perfectly and the straps do not rub. Although this outfit could easily work with trainers for a more casual day look, I think the heels just add a subtle elegance to the entire outfit.

My final accessories were my Topshop red satchel (of course) and as it was still quite sunny, I took my Love Moschino prescription sunglasses from Specsavers - fun sidenote, my eyesight is getting so bad I now have to wear prescription goggles!

I am so happy to have finally found a midi dress. I can see myself wearing this for so many years! I am definitely going to keep looking for me, which considering how long it took me to find this dress, it might take a while! Lastly, a big thanks to my cousin Elena for taking this great shots!
