August Birchbox - Summer Lovin'

Summer Lovin', had me a blast! Is it even possible to see the phrase summer loving/lovin' without immediately embracing your inner Pink Lady or T-Bird? The box design is very fitting for this month, all these warm and bright shades together. It also reminded me of the August box design back in 2017 in terms of the gold outline. What is also great about this month's box, is that all but feature in Birchbox's Ingredient Conscious selection. This includes all the cruelty-free, vegan and organic products that Birchbox sell. Let's see what was inside!

A compact powder that works as both a bronzer and a blush? Yes, please! The four different shades combine to give skin a healthy-looking glow — without the need to clock in hours in the sun. And light reflective shimmering particles soften the look of fine lines and leave skin looking radiant all year round.

I remember hearing a lot about Cargo when I first started watching YouTube and reading blogs. Yet, i haven't heard much else since. Multi-use compacts are a great option for quick makeup. The only one I really have is Benefit Sugarbomb and that's still really only a blush. I've checked on Cargo's website and it does state that they are cruelty-free.

This mask’s 4-in-1 formula detoxes, invigorates, refines and brightens your complexion with a healthy dose of pink Australian clay. Soothing aloe vera and pomegranate tighten pores, giving you smooth, glowing skin.

I’ve seen a lot of influencers talk about this mask. My skin is predominately dehydrated, but I do have a few large pores around the centre of my face. This is probably where I will only use it, but I’ll see when I try it. It does contain aloe vera which should be lovely.

This superfine mist blends hydrating and plumping hyaluronic acid with soothing chamomile water in a tropical potion that improves skin with every spritz. Whether you use it to revive your make-up or calm your complexion after too much sun, the instant shot of hydration will leave you looking brighter and healthier.

I was very excited when I saw this for two reasons. One, everything I have tried from Balance Me I have really enjoyed. Two, it's got Hyaluronic in the name. Hyaluronic acid is the skincare ingredient which I desire in everything. I can always feel it sinking deep into my skin and it is just divine. This could easily be finished by the end of the month!

This summery-smelling scrub from Anatomicals helps skin feel its very best. Effective yet gentle, the formula contains sweet almond oil and glycerin to deeply hydrate and smooth, plus apricot seed powder to buff and exfoliate. The result? Skin that's baby soft and unbelievably silky.

First off, I love the names that Anatomicals give their products. This is an all-natural scrub which is always good and it also smells lovely. It reminds me of the chewy strawberry sweets from pick 'n' mix. I'm not always a fan of strawberry scented/flavoured things (I hate strawberry ice cream and as a child, I hated Calpol), but as it reminds me of the sweets, I think I will enjoy using it.

Turn shower time into a (brief) tropical break with Love Beauty and Planet's nourishing shower gel. Enriched with hydrating virgin coconut oil and refreshing ylang ylang flower, your skin is left feeling renewed and recharged while your senses are treated to a burst of delicate fragrance that lingers all day.

This is a brand that I've wanted to try for a while and I'm excited to try it. I am going away for the weekend at the end of August with my family and I will be putting this in my travel bag! It smells amazing, the combination works really well together. This is the 100ml size, which is only £2.50 and it looks like you will get more than one holiday's use out of it.

Have you tried any of these products?
