Ingredients
- 112g unsalted butter
- 220g of soft light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (vanilla extract will also work)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 128 g plain flour
Method
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius/160 Fan.
- Line a tin with baking paper, I used a 20cm square tin
- Melt the butter, and then mix in the sugar and the rest of the wet ingredients
- Mix in your dry ingredients, it is quite a thick mixture
- Pour into the tin and spread as best you can. Don't worry if it doesn't go all the way to the edges, it wills spread out when baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
I've made this for my family yesterday and they absolutely loved it! It really is delicious and a great alternative for brownies. It will also make your kitchen smell amazing!
Let me know if you try this recipe!
These look so good! I've never tried making blondies before - might try these next time I want to bake x

These look amazing! I actually prefer blondies as I'm a complete white chocolate fiend
ReplyDeleteThese look so tasty. I enjoy anything with a good dose of caramel in it. I will have to try these out this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese look so good! I gave up YouTube for Lent this year, but I can't imagine giving up chocolate! I have a lot of time to bake this summer, so I will definitely be making these at some point.
