Holiday Haircare - What I've Packed

As I am writing this post, I am finalising what beauty products I am taking with me, although when you read this post, I will be back home. I thought about doing a 'What's in my Travel Makeup Bag' or what toiletries I am taking, but I thought instead I would focus on what hair care I was taking. Makeup and other toiletries are often more personal to each person, but a lot of this hair care could be used. My normal hair care routine can feature quite a lot of different products, but I knew I had to streamline it, and decided to take the basic essentials.

Charles Worthington Takeaways Sunshine Protector Shampoo & Conditioner
The most important hair care to have with me is shampoo and conditioner. It may sound obvious, but with my long thick hair, I cannot go too long with all that salt in my hair. It is also the only time when I change up what type of shampoo and conditioner that I am looking for. As it has been so hot recently, this interested me as it is supposed to protect your hair from the sun.

Travelling is the perfect time for me to get through some of the products that I have received in my Birchboxes. I have quite a lot of hair products to get through, so I had to bring some with me.

On some days, I will only rinse my hair so I thought this would be a great way to help me deal with styling post-sea hair. I have enjoyed some of the amika products I have got through my Birchboxes so I am excited to see how this turns out.

Number 4 Jour d'automne Smoothing Balm
As I already have thick hair that has a tendency to frizz, of course I had to bring some kind of smoothing cream. This is my first proper try of Number 4 hair care as what I have had before, I either have not used yet or it does not work for my particular hair type. It will be interesting to see how it compares to other smoothing creams that I have used.

Percy & Reed Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish
When I have finished drying my hair, I always like to add something to finish it off, whether it is a cream or oil. I really like Percy & Reed hair products, they work well and they smell amazing. What I like most about this product is that it can be used on both wet and dry hair.

So that's what I am taking with me on holiday to take care of my hair. I know this post was short and sweet but I wanted to get all my content sorted and I am running out of time!

What are your favourite holiday hair care products?

Ellyn xx
