Obsession Alert: Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

As soon as I saw that Urban Decay were releasing the Naked Heat palette, I knew that I was going to get it! The day came when it was launched and I purchased it straight away! I bought the original Naked palette for my 21st birthday and I love it, but it has mostly shimmery eyeshadows and I am definitely more of a matte eyeshadow person so when I saw that this palette had more mattes, I was even more excited! I have been using this palette every time I have been wearing make-up since this arrived and I still can't get enough of it!

The palette contains the shades:

  • Ounce (ivory shimmer)
  • Chaser (light nude matte)
  • Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte)
  • Low Blow (brown matte)
  • Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
  • He Devil (burnt red matte)
  • Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red)
  • Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)
  • Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte)
  • En Fuego (burgundy matte)
  • Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte)
  • Ember (deep metallic copper-burgundy)

  • My favourite shades at the moment are Sauced, Low Blow and Cayenne. The palette is red and orange-toned and at first, it can be daunting and you might be worried that you will look like you have an eye infection, it really isn't like that once you start using the palette! I find that once I put on my eyeliner, all those fears go away and I love wearing these eyeshadows.

I really like Urban Decay's eyeshadows formulas, they are super pigmented, easy to blend and last really well, especially in the crease. At the time of writing this post, I have not tried any of the shimmers but I don't tend to wear these in the crease so I am not too worried about the formula of those eyeshadows.

I also love the outer packaging of this palette. The packaging is quite thick and has a magnetic lid but I think this is really good as I am not worried about the palette breaking or the eyeshadows shattering if I accidentally drop it. The palette also comes with a dual-ended brush like the others do and I don't mind the brush, but I definitely prefer the other brushes that I own to use with this palette.

The palette costs £39.50 which is a little pricey but I think it is totally worth it for how much use I am getting out of it and the quality of the eyeshadows and the whole palette in general. It is out of stock on the Urban Decay website at the moment but once it is back in stock, I would seriously recommend picking this up!

Have you tried any of the Naked palettes, if so which is your fave and would you buy the Heat palette?
