Pink Lipstick: My Thoughts

I love wearing bold lip colours, but one colour which I am only just starting to wear more regularly is pink. From light nudes to punchy brights, pink is one of those shades were there will be a shade for every skin-tone. My pink lip colour collection mainly started off with the brights as I felt that I pulled off those shades better but I am slowly adding some lighter pinks to my collection. If you read my M.A.C lipstick post, you might notice that Creme Cup is missing from this post. I finally came to the realisation that it takes too much effort to make that work for me anymore so I have passed it on to someone else who will get more wear out of it.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Ole Flamingo
This is one of the oldest lip colours that I still have in my collection, and to be honest it probably needs to be thrown away! Out of all the Rouge Velvets that I own and the entire line, Ole Flamingo is definitely my favourite. Although I know the formula of these Rouge Velvets are not everyone's cup of tea, I still quite like it as it packs a punch and lasts a really long time. This used to be one of my main lip choices for nights out at university if I wasn't going for a red lip. Now, I don't get as much wear out of it, mainly because I have found other formulas that I like a lot more.

Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Pinkaboo
If you read my review on the gloss sticks, you will remember that I am not a massive fan of glossy formulas at all, but this has somehow managed to become a fave product. When there are days when I don't feel like wearing lipstick or I want a quick pop of colour if I am in a rush. Like with a lot of glossy and balmy formulas, it doesn't have the greatest longevity but it is great for a quick fix. I have the smaller size as I got this as part of a Christmas set, but you can buy it indiviudally.

Soap&Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Pommie Girl
I was very excited when Soap&Glory brought out lipsticks and when I first purchased this, I wore it a lot. It is a slightly darker rose pink and has a great matte finish but still feels comfortable to wear on the lips. I featured this in one of my first posts of 2017 in combination with M.A.C Whirl lip pencil which on another note makes a great base for many lip colours. I have not worn it that much recently, but I do think that it is a great shade to have to your collection as it is another shade that works on many different skin-tones

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Unapologetic
When these first hit the shelves, I was absolutely obsessed and I purchased almost the entire collection, you might remember my ongoing hunt for the purple shade from my purple lipstick post. When I last did a make-up clear out, I did get rid of a few shades and I still don't really wear this shade very much. However, I do still think the formula is great and they are super easy to apply. They have since brought out new shades but I haven't bought any new ones since I found the purple shade.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm
Now I will be honest, I have not worn this shade outside of the house. I have tried it and there is not anything wrong with this lip colour. It is a nice bright shade, similar to Ole Flamingo, but in a more moisturising and slightly glossier formula. It does have a pretty reasonable longevity and you do get a good pop of colour. I got this as part of a gift with purchase which Clinique do pretty regularly. I should really try and wear this more as it is a pretty decent product.

Topshop Lipstick in All About Me
I still think that Topshop lipsticks are still pretty underrated in the beauty community and I really think that they are a great affordable option. This is probably my favourite bright pink lip colour that I own and I have got a lot of use of it since I purchased it. I really like the Topshop matte lipstick formula and All About Me is my favourite out of the mattes that I own from the brand.

L'Oreal Paris Collection Exclusive Color Riche Lipstick in Eva's Delicate Rose
The last time this lipstick was featured on this blog, it was in my last post before I relaunched my blog and that was back at the very start of 2016. As it appeared it a favourites post, it shows that I did really like it when I first purchased it. I don't wear this lipstick that much any more and I think I will probably get rid of it next time I do a make-up clearout. I also don't think that L'Oreal make this particular shade anymore although they do still do the Collection Exclusive Color Riche ranges.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm
As regular readers might remember, I have been going on a quest to find a great liquid lipstick and although this is not it, the soft matte lip cream in Stockholm was definitely up there in my favourites. Out of all the matte liquid lipsticks, it does have one of the comfiest formulas so it might be a great option to try if you are not a fan of super matte formulas. They also have such a wide variety of shades, especially for a drugstore brand. Stockholm is a great beige pink shade without being too intense.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Pink Bliss
This is one of the most recent pink lip colours but unfortuately, it was not long before I found my ultimate liquid lipsticks so it hasn't had too much wear yet. I did a full post on the Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour and I do still stand by what I said in the review. It is one of the more warmer pinks in my collection and I would say is a slightly pinkier peach shade. I would like to get more use out of it, as it is a great drugstore liquid lipstick.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Paint Matte in Hollywood Beige
The L'Oreal lip paint mattes are definitely one of my favourite drugstore liquid lipsticks that I have tried so far. They are very comfortable to wear on the lips and still have a matte finish, I would say that they are a slightly better quality version of the NYX soft matte lip creams. Out of the two shades that I own, I do prefer this shade and I have worn this quite often since purchasing. I do still find the brush a little precarious which is also why I prefer this one. Like the other liquid lipsticks, I have written a full post on this product so check it out for more of my love.

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman
This is my ultimate liquid lipstick. I've said it. I am obsessed with the Powermatte lip pigments and I have worn this shade the most. It is a great pinkish nude on my skintone, has wonderful staying power and feels really comfortable on the lips. I could go on forever talking about this liquid lipstick and please check out my full post for more rambling. Long story short, you need to try out these lip colors, even if this particular shade does not work for you. I really hope NARS do not discontinue these, I might cry if they did.

So those are the pink lip colours that I currently have in my collection and how I feel about each one and how it fits into my beauty life. If you have tried any of these please let me know your thoughts or if there are any stand-out pink lip colours that I haven't mentioned that you think I should try!
