June Birchbox: Daytripping

A new month means a new Birchbox post! I was really excited to receive this month's Birchbox because rather than it being in the usual box, we got a bag! All the bags were a light purple and you could either choose to have it with yellow stripes and handle, or mint stripes and handle. I chose the mint as I felt like it went with the purple better and I love it! It is a decent travel size which was the whole reasoning behind this month's theme: 'Daytripping'. The bag also has a matte finish which I think makes it look even more gorgeous!

MeechNMia Brow Liner #21
Sparse or uneven brows have met their nemesis with this oh-so-precise pencil. The cruelty-free formula has been specially designed to glide on for natural defined arches in moments
I don't tend to use brow pencils because I already have quite thick dark eyebrows but sometimes I do try filling in the more sparse area at the front of the eyebrow. This was a very waxy pencil and I did find it quite difficult to apply but then I also have long eyebrow hairs so it is sometimes tricky to use any filling in brow product other than a gel. It does have a great staying power but was still easy to remove in the evening.

ARROW ENHANCE Waterproof Eyeliner in Bright Now
Perfect for gym bags and handbags, this nude-coloured liner instantly brightens tired eyes and accentuates your eye colour all day long. Plus, it's vegan and cruelty-free, with no parabens in sight
I always find that pale eyeliners always have the worst staying power in comparison to darker shades. It was that reason why I was apprehensive to try this but I was presently surprised. With all eyeliners, it did stay longer around my eyelashes on the waterline and when I applied some to my inner corner but in comparison to other pale eyeliners, it did last on the waterline for much longer.

Cowshed Cow Pat Hand Cream
This cheekily-named nourishing hand lotion is packed with rejuvenating essential oils - like grapefruit to uplift and coriander to soothe - to leave skin moisturised, toned, and supple
I have tried this a few times now and I still cannot tell if I like the scent or not. I will say that is a really light hand cream but it did feel like it moisturised my hands. I like that it has the normal cap lid as I find it so much easier to use. I think I will have to use it for a long time to notice any toning effects but it is a handy size and Cowshed is a very well-known brand.

Scrub Love Coffee Body Scrub in Coconut Mango
Made from 100% natural ingredients, this exfoliator delivers more of an energy boost than your morning coffee. Stimulating circulation, buffing away dead skin cells, and hydrating skin as it goes
It is as if Birchbox had heard I needed a new scrub so I was very excited to see this! I know coffee scrubs have been popular and the only brand I had heard of before was Frank. I got the flavour Coconut Mango and I cannot wait to try it! This also contains coconut oil which is a great natural moisturiser and product for your whole body, externally and internally.

amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
This stuff is like a shot of espresso for your hair! It soaks up excess oil, delivers a shot of fresh fragrance, and hydrates and strengthens strands for shiny, rejuvenated, healthy hair. No washing required
Dry shampoos are a product that I either love or hate, I have very dark thick hair so I do not want a dry shampoo that is hard to distrubute or too powdery - I still haven't had a grey hair yet, I do not want dry shampoo making it look that way! I do love the packaging but it costs £20 for a full size so even if I really like this, I am not sure if I will repurchase it when I get can get good ones from Boots or Superdrug for under a fiver.

I can't believe that this is my penultimate box from my first subscription! I will definitely be repurchasing another subscription and I think it is really worth it and I really recommend it! I also love using the empty boxes as blog photography props so you can really get your money's worth out of it!
