February Birchbox - From Birchbox With Love

This month marks my fourth year being a Birchbox subscriber. It is so fun getting a little parcel of goodies every month, and it often introduces you to many brands that you will not have heard of. Unsurprisingly, this month has a Valentine's theme - and how aesthetically pleasing does this box look with matching paper decoration, and the colour of all the products' packaging! With a bit of makeup and skincare, you could be entirely prepped for a date, or hanging out with your gal pals for Galentine's!

Beautaniq Beauty Bloom Blush - Darling Dahlia

Not just pretty in the pan, these perfectly pink blushes gives your cheeks a natural, luminous flush. Created with anti-inflammatory rose extract, the velvety, lightweight powder is sheer but buildable - allowing you to control the coverage perfectly. The days of clown cheeks are long gone!

Beautaniq Beauty is one the brands that I’ve been introduced to through Birchbox, and they really should get more coverage. I’ve got the brow gel and mascara all ready and I love both of them. I don’t actually have a blush that is this dark in my collection, it does remind me at first glance of a limited edition Sleek blush I used to own. Hopefully it will work out!

This liner-meets-lipstick delivers brilliant matte colour that glides on effortlessly. But don't let the matte formula scare you, it's made with soothing emollients for a comfortable, soft feel. Plus, the fine tip applicator makes it easy to line and fill your lips without the worry of going outside the lines.

It is almost as if Birchbox knew I had just written a post about owning too many lipsticks.. How about we give her some more! I mentioned in that post that I want to use up more lipsticks so I think I will add this straight into my ‘use now’ pile! I’ve enjoyed their eyeliner, and blush crayon so I have high hopes.

Aiming for kissable lips all year round? This gel-like lip mask - that's infused with hyaluronic acid, collagen boosters and mulberry extract - improves elasticity, adds moisture, repairs and soothes dry skin, and subtly plumps for noticeably softer lips in just 15 minutes. It's pout perfection made easy!

Of course with a Valentine’s Day box, there has to be something for your lips! I’ve not used lip masks before - I think part of me is worried about accidentally ‘drinking’ any of the ingredients! However it's got hyaluronic acid which regular readers will know that I love!

This triple-action mask invigorates skin in just 5 minutes – and it means business! Ideal for any skin type it uses macadamia seed to gently exfoliate, pink clay to clear pores, and Australian finger lime for that lit-from-within glow.

I’ve been using some pink clay masks in the last year and I really like it as an ingredient. My face always feels cleaned, but never like all the moisture in my skin has been sucked away. I haven’t used an exfoliating mask like this before, so I am interested to see how it works.

From rough winter winds to seaside summer adventures, there's always something leaving our precious hands rough and dry. Enter: this nourishing cream to deeply hydrate and instantly soften, with a blend of shea butter and rose. What's more, the sweet floral scent is perfect for all seasons!

I am still pretty rubbish at using hand cream.. I just don’t like the feel of a lot of them on my hands - they also get a bit clammy so extra moisture doesn’t always help if it doesn’t sink in quickly. However I am a big fan of rose scents, and it smells very similar to ChloĆ©

Spacemasks Rose Mask

In the mood for a little self-love and me-time? Reach for this relaxing Spacemask, infused with nourishing and mood-calming rose. When you remove the mask from the packet, the thin layer of iron filings inside entwine with oxygen molecules to cause the mask to heat up (it's seriously soothing!). Aaaand relax…

I still have the original version of this mask.. And have not used it yet. I am so rubbish at using up face masks! As I said earlier, I love rose scents so I might try this one first. The only thing that confuses me is that it looks like an eye mask (in a sleeping mask shape), but self-heats? I normally see eye masks being cold.

Have you tried any of these products?

Ellyn xx
