One Jumper - Three Ways

So I've started my 2020 fashion journey with another leopard print item of clothing. I honestly do not know where it will end. The start of a new year can inspire a lot of refreshes, including your style. I was in my local Topshop boutique (mine is inside a department store) and saw this gorgeous jumper on the sale rack. My main justification for buying this is that it was £10! However later, I read this post by Ghenet from Ghenet Actually. This is something she has been doing whenever she has purchased something new - can she make three outfits from it. I thought this was a great idea, both for wearing more of your wardrobe, but also helping you make smarter choices when it comes to new clothes.

Outfit One

For this first outfit, I wanted to try mixing up patterns. I've worn spots and stripes together before, but haven't really tried with anything else. I am still very much into my midi length dresses and skirts and knew I wanted to incorporate one into these outfits. I decided to go with my H&M Black Lace Floral skirt (similar here.) As it is all one colour, it doesn't clash too heavy against the leopard print.

I paired this look with my ASOS Silver Buckle Boots (similar here.) I can see myself wearing this outfit both in the day and at night.

Outfit Two

One of the outfits that I knew I had to try was a very laidback casual look. If you have seen my outfit posts on Instagram, you might recognise most of this outfit. So many of the outfits that I have worn in the last year have included this H&M Divided Straight Leg jeans, H&M Belt and Adidas Stan Smiths.

So given this is basically most of the outfits I've already worn just with a different jumper, it is unsurprising that it works! It is always great to have a look which is easy to switch out, and you know is still going to look good.

Outfit Three

Another item that I am wearing so much recently are these Topshop Red Boots! (Similar here.) I've worn it a lot with my leopard print coat, so I thought it would pair nicely with this jumper. In my most recent #GRWM post, I wore a dress as a shirt, and in this outfit I'm going along a similar vein by wearing a jumpsuit.. as trousers!

I wanted to mix up the textures so I went with my Pins & Needles velvet jumpsuit (similar here) from Urban Outfitters. I think this is another outfit that can work in both casual and going-out looks. However, to make it a little more fancy or even slightly work-ish, I put on my black velvet jacket which used to belong to my Nana.

So this is definitely staying in my wardrobe. I have bought many things in the past and not actually worn them, so Ghenet's technique is actually very useful. She also has a hashtag on Instagram for if you try this out - #ghenetsthreeways

How would you style this jumper?
