Getting Your Body Summer Ready

Now wasn't that a gorgeous bank holiday weekend! If you don't live in the UK, we just had a gorgeous warm weekend, quite surprising for spring. It got me thinking that now it is getting warmer, we can all start getting our limbs out! I posted on my Instagram about two of my favourite moisturisers and getting ready for summer, but I thought it would be good to write up a post in more detail. I am quite picky about what body products I use, as I am not a fan of heavy-feeling products. I have also included a great product for giving your legs the look of being on holiday, all in one bottle.

For those who don't like body creams or lotions, or you want a product that is quick to use then The Body Shop Body Sorbets are a perfect choice. They blend into the skin really quickly, and don't leave a sticky feeling when you get dressed or get into bed.

Sadly this is not available in all the ranges, and that includes my previous favourite! I first tried the body sorbets in the Fuji Green Tea scent, it worked quite nicely as a sort of after sun on holiday. That scent was discontinued and now I like the Moringa, a nice fresh floral scent.

If I fancy using another body moisturiser, I will use the Pretty As A Peach body lotion from The Body Shop. This was given to me as a gift from my neighbours when I was looking after their cats. I am not always a fan of fruit-scented body lotions, it often makes me feel all sticky.

However, this has a gorgeous light scent, and despite it being packed in with many skin-loving and moisturing ingredients, it sinks in almost as quickly as the body sorbet.

If you are not an expert with fake tan, but still want a bit of a 'summer glow', the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is a great option for a quick fix. I've been using it for years. It is a spray-can formula, so you might not want to use it around white sheets! Obviously, you can use this on other parts of the body, I have not used it on the face though.

I prefer to use it mixed in with a body lotion, I just find it gives a soft finish - also great if you are using it for the first time. It also comes in a few different shades, so even if you are on the pale side, you should be able to get a nice warm glow!

What are your favourite body products to use in the warmer months?
