Four High End Make-Up Products You Should Try

The amount of money that I am willing to spend on make-up varies. Whilst I love perusing the make-up selections at Boots and Superdrug, I have found some products that I will spend a bit of extra money on. Obviously what classes as high-end in the make-up world will change from person to person and what they are willing to spend. For me, I would class all of these brands as high-end, but they are still not the most expensive brands out there. There are a lot of products from these brands that I have tried and loved, but I thought today I would choose the four products that I love the most and will definitely need to re-purchase when I have finished these.

Four High End Make-Up Products You Should Try
This is easily the most used eyeshadow palette in my collection. When I purchased it, I used it every time I wore make-up. Now although I do try to switch up my make-up routine, this is one of the products that I will always come back to.

There is a good selection of both matte and shimmery eyeshadows, in both light and darker colours. They are all very easy to apply and blend. My favourite shadows from the palette are Sauced, Low Blow, He Devil and Ashes. These are all matte shades but that is just a personal preference.

Benefit was one of the first higher-end brands that I tried. I loved the retro style of packaging, also I loved looking through the little catalogue of products - also, they had vouchers on the back for a free make-over!

Hoola Bronzer is one of the brands best-selling products, and has been around for a long time. What I like most about this product and it is something I have mentioned before, it is a great multi-purpose bronzer as it is not too orange so it can be used for both adding warmth to the skin, and contouring. I have had this bronzer for years, use it almost every time I wear make-up and I have still not finished it. SO you definitely can get your money's worth out of it.

I'm sure that if you are a regular reader of my blog, you will not be surprised that the American Woman Powermatte has made it into this post. I have spoken about my profound love for this liquid lipstick many times. I am still just as obsessed with it as I was when I first tried it.

For those who have not tried it, it is in my opinion, the best liquid lipstick out there. It applies really easily despite having quite a liquid-y formula, will last through food and drink, and feels comfortable on the lips. If you are not a fan of matte finishes, I cannot promise you will 100% love it, but out of many matte finish lipsticks (both liquid and solid), it is the most comfortable.

The Powermattes come in a huge variety of shades, so there should be both a bold and nude lip option for you.

Although I am still intrigued by the world of liquid lipsticks, one solid lipstick that I will often go to if I either don't want to wear liquid lipstick, or if I am in a rush is the MAC Satin Lipstick in Mocha. I bought this lipstick as it reminded me of the Blushing Nude lipstick from Clinique that I used to steal from my mum's make-up bag. So now I have my own!

I do also love the matte lipstick formulations from MAC, but out of all my MAC lipsticks, this is the most used so I decided to feature this. The two other shades that I wear a lot is Whirl and Ruby Woo.

So those are the four products from my favourite higher-end brands that I would recommend people try. Now remember, although these products in particular might not be right for you, these brands have so many great shades or other products that you should also try!

  1. Amazing post and some favourites I definitely agree with! x I love the Naked Heat, it's such a great overall palette with some lovely red tones from UD, and Mac Mocha has almost ALWAYS been on my wishlist! The hoola bronzer looks great, it always has, however, unfortunately, I'm too dark for it to bronze me! And they have the cheek (no pun intended haha) to make a Hoola Lite but not a darker one? A shame but still some beautiful picks x

    1. That's a good point about hoola! Hopefully it's something they will bring out in the future. You should definitely get Mocha, it's such a versatile lipstick!

  2. I have one of the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes, and it is hands down my favorite eyeshadow purchase ever. I use it all the time (more often than other eyeshadow palettes), so it was definitely worth the money! I've also used the Hoola bronzer you have pictured here as well - works great!
