First Impressions: INC.redible Matte My Day

It's only 17 days into 2018 and I am already writing up another liquid lipstick post. I spent much of the end of 2017 raving about the NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman so I thought it was about time I tried something else. Last year, Thea Green of Nails Inc. launched a new beauty brand: INC.redible. The range looks absolutely stunning and I will definitely be trying out more of the range. Today, I am giving my first impressions on the INC.redible Matte My Day liquid lip paint in Fake It Till I Make It.

First Impressions: INC.redible Matte My Day - Life Of A Beauty Nerd
I love this colour. It is the perfect mix between a light burgundy red and a purple. It also is not too warm or too cool and I think that this colour would look gorgeous on all skin-tones.

At first, I did find it a little tricky to apply. I found that I had to apply a blob of product and not blend it out too much otherwise the brush would just pick it up straight away. Once the product started to dry or you had enough on the lips, it blended out much better.

It dried relatively quickly and gives a gorgeous matte finish. It did dry a little darker but not too much. In terms of how comfortable it felt on the lips, I wear a lot of matte lipsticks so I don't mind the drier finishes. It is not the driest liquid lipstick formula that I have in my collection but it does feel a little dry on the lips. It reminds me of the texture of the Barry M Matte Me Up liquid lipsticks.

Now I always find with all of the liquid lipsticks that I have tried, darker colours are always going to last longer than paler colours on the lips. It did not come off whenever I took a sip of water and even when I had dinner, it was only really in the middle where it would come off the most. When I then reapplied after food, it did not feel like I had loads of layers of liquid lipstick - but I still did have the problem of having to make sure I did not swipe the brush across my lips.

Overall I did like this liquid lipstick. Whilst it was a little fiddly to apply, it lasted really well and I was quite happy to wear it the whole day. It's also only £8 which I think is pretty decent price for a liquid lipstick.

So these are my first impressions of the INC.redible Matte My Day liquid lipstick in Fake It Till I Make It. There are so many other products from the range that I want to try so let me know if you would like to see that!

Also as usual, if you have tried this, let me know your thoughts in the comments
