Smoothie Time: Tropical Sunshine

My last smoothie post has become one of the most popular posts on this blog so I am very pleased that everyone liked it! I thought I would test out another smoothie recipe and post it! This time I have gone for a tropical yellow smoothie that just like the last one, is dairy-free! I made this smoothie in the Nutri Bullet again and at first I used the same ingredients in the largest container but I found that with these flavours, it is much better made in a smaller container and for one person. I love how bright this smoothie came out and it just screams summer to me!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 small green apple
  • A handful of frozen tropical fruit mix (the one I used contains mango, papaya and pineapple)
  • 150ml coconut milk
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Two squeezes of lemon
Method
  1. Chop up a peeled banana and apple (do not peel) into smaller pieces to help blend easier - make sure to de-core the apple
  2. Put your frozen fruit into the blender first so it can defrost a little in case your blender isn't super powerful and to also prevent the rest of the fruit that you are not using to defrost
  3. Pour in the coconut milk, add the lemon juice and then the chia seeds, chia seeds expand in liquid very quickly so you want to add it last
  4. Blend away until all the fruit, especially the frozen fruit, is all blended
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
So there we are - a scrummy bright tropical smoothie! I hope you guys like this as much as the previous recipe and I have more plans for a berry smoothie and a green smoothie too so make sure to follow my blog on Bloglovin or Instagram to see when they crop up!
