Today's post is a review on Lush's Fresh Face Mask in BB Seaweed. It is marketed as a calming face mask and contains fresh seaweed, ground almonds, rose absolute and aloe vera to smooth the skin; it also contains rosemary oil, kaolin and also millet flakes to exfoliate the skin.
Now I won't lie, it doesn't look like the most pleasant but I was really impressed with the mask as a whole. I like to apply a generous layer all over my face avoiding the delicate eye area and let it set for at least ten minutes before washing it off with a flannel and warm water. Although the mask dries, my skin feels lovely and refreshed after I have washed it off, and it definitely felt deep-cleansed. I like to follow up with a nice big dollop of moisture and my skin loves me. I use this mask at the end of the week as a sort of 'skin detox'
The mask costs £6.50 and is available in store and online (according to the Lush site but I would double check). I would also advise that these have a use-by date and should be kept in the fridge (this also adds to the calming effect in my opinion)
