My Favourite Perfumes: All About That Rose

Today's post is all about my favourite perfumes. I tend to find perfumes I love, and then stick to them for years. I don't have a lot of fragrances in general as I am very particular to what scents I like and dislike. Fragrance is one of the most difficult categories to write about in the beauty world as I feel like it is the most fickle and I know not everyone will like the perfumes that I am talking about today. All these perfumes have floral notes and are more on the heavier side so if you don't like those kinds of perfumes, I'm sorry! Anyway, I hope that some of you are able to find this post interesting!

Chloe Signature Eau de Parfum
Notes: Lychee, Freesia, Peony, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Magnolia, Virginia Ceder and Musk
The original Chloe was the first ever 'proper' perfume that I owned and is still my number one. I have worn it for so many years now and I think my friends definitely associate this perfume with me. This perfume is one of the reasons why I own the rest of the perfumes featured in this post. It is such a classic fragrance that is not too sweet, is not too deep but it just floral. Now I know it can be a little too heavy on the floral for some people, but I adore it and will wear Chloe for the rest of my life.

Chloe L'Eau de Chloe Eau de Toilette
Notes: Citrus Accord, Rose, Patchouli
I received this perfume as a Christmas present instead of the original Chloe a few years ago. It was meant to be the original Chloe that I was getting but in the end, I am glad I was introduced to this other Chloe scent. It is a toilette, so the scent is a lot lighter and due to the citrus, has a more fresh feel than the original perfume. I would often wear this Chloe during the day as it less heavy, and then save my original Chloe for in the evening and more special occasion.

Rosie for Autograph Nuit Parfum
Notes: Rose, Jasmine
I have never tried much of the beauty range from Marks & Spencer but whenever I have been in the larger stores, I have given this a little spritz and I started to really like this fragrance. I do prefer this to the original Rosie for Autograph scent as it is slightly deeper. It is also very affordable at £28 for 75ml! I also think the packaging is really gorgeous with the purple and copper.

Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Cologne
Notes: Damask rose, smoky oud wood, clove and praline
If you read my full Jo Malone post, you will know that I had a hand massage at my local Jo Malone counter for my birthday as was treated to the Velvet Rose & Oud cologne. I am using this perfume almost every day at the moment! Now it is £74 for 50ml so it is not suitable for everyone's budget but I have barely made a dent into this perfume despite almost daily use so it is worth it.

So I think it is fair to say.. I like a bit of rose in my perfume! However, I do like that they all have a little something different but all still feel like me. I'm sorry that this post is quite short and sweet but the next few weeks are going to be quite busy and whilst I plan to still post as normal, they might not that long.

Still, hope you enjoyed the post! What are your favourite perfumes and if you have tried any of these perfumes, let me know in the comments!

Ellyn xx
