High-End Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

Whilst I am a firm believer in high-street makeup, which has been killing it over the last few years, there are some things that I have tried that are a bit more pricey, but I don't think I could live without them. Whilst I like looking around the beauty counters in department stores, I often find I only purchase things when I have a specific product to buy. In this post, I am going to be talking about three products that I just cannot imagine not having in my life anymore. I would thoroughly recommend all these products (but one is a fragrance and obviously that is a lot more personal).

I have bought many items thanks to other bloggers and beauty influencers, but my favourite purchase of them all has to be the Smashox Primerizer. It’s hard not to go on and on about how much I love this primer. It just gives the most natural looking glow, without any shimmer whatsoever.

It is also one of the best primers in keeping the rest of my face makeup on. I use about two to three pumps and apply it all over my face. I honestly don’t think any other primer could match this! It has appeared in almost every #MakeupMonday post I have done since I got it, no surprise it appeared in  my most used round-up I did for those posts.

Whilst this is the most recent out of these three products to my collection, I don’t think I’ve done my makeup without it. It is the best eye primer I have tried. NARS had opened a counter in my local department store which was good news for me, bad news for my wallet – especially now I’ve had this!

At the time of purchasing, I had been planning to purchase the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion, but now I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. I have a slightly hooded eyes so I find shimmery eyeshadows can sometimes crease but with this primer, it stays put – without the need to set it first! Whilst it does come out white, it does blend out to be translucent on the eyelid. Thanks to the new counter, I will easily be able to keep this in my beauty life!

I first received this fragrance for my 22nd birthday as a treat from my parents. The fragrance contains damask rose, smoky oud wood, clove and praline. It reminded me of my favourite fragrance Chloe with a twist of something different. I think that's why I really liked it because it was something familiar, but still different. I know they both contain elements of rose so that is probably why!

But now, I would say this has surpassed my love for Chloe, which is something I never thought would happen. I was lucky to receive the full size of this bottle for Christmas, which will last a long while but it is something I would still treat myself too - however I might stick to the smaller bottle! Even if you are not a fan of rose, I would recommend checking out Jo Malone fragrances.

Whilst I really do hope these don't all run out at once, I really can't see my beauty life without any of these products, even if other products come in to test them!

Do you have any high-end products you would have to repurchase?

Ellyn xx
